Helmet for CBT
Discussion
Starting my journey next saturday and I have my Dads little used helmet and wondered is it suitable for the CBT as it does not really have decent chin protection from what I can see. Its the one below, any advice please.

I would not.
Use the schools one? Or I managed to pick up one of these at the same time as an intercom pair to reduce the cost of the latter (becomes vat free). It worked out at £40 ish if I recall correctly and it was surprisingly not terrible for the price.
The joint purchaser of the headset bundle took the helmet before I returned for a larger size and he still wears it now and again.
I’d go to the shop and try some on.

Most important part is that it fits you properly. As someone who did their bike test long before intercoms, I am not up on whats needed there, but it important that the helmet is a good fit, sits snugly on your head and doesn't wobble about. If you can keep your head steady whilst moving the helmet about, its too big.
You could always go and try some on at a bike shop without buying one to get a fell for what the right size should be or what it should feel like. If the staff are knowledgeable, they should be able to help you find one of the correct size. If your Dad's one doesn't feel similar, then its the wrong size.
