Whilst practice for TT 2026 doesn’t start until next Monday, the Steam Packet Ferry Company are now taking bookings for next year’s event.

Whilst I’m giving it a miss this year (watching the races on TV from Santorini), I’ve booked accommodation and the ferry for next year.

The website is understandably busy. They've instigated a Q'ing system.

The wait time seems to reduce rather faster than the estimate.

Edit: Initial wait estimate 2 hr 01 min..... actual 46 mins

Deposit placed, now time to play "guess how much" it'll be?

Thanks for the reminder, I had forgotten it was a week earlier now... Booked for Practice week since my sister in law rudely planned her wedding in the middle of race week...

As far as costs, it all depends what vehicle you're taking! I'm taking a 6.3m campervan, £750-800?

Am I mistaken in thinking booking for following years usually online in the first Monday of practise week?

Anyway, all booked for next year now.
Doing the same 5night period as I m doing this year

This year is my 26th year visiting yet I m still as giddy as a kipper about it.

Roll on next week.

To add: Sidenote TT+ promo code 44TT20 for 20% off thanks to the guys at 44Teeth.

That's OK when you choose to take a single bike over, using whatever crossing is available, but if you want specific dates in a camper you need to plan ahead!

I ve been once, it was an absolutely brilliant week. I d love to go back.
You have to witness the speed in person, it s like nothing else.

Bikers are just built differently.

Dundrod is due to return while it lacks the glamour of the TT there is some very fast and excellent racing.

Have never been, but really really want to go. Would love to do it on a bike just to ride round the course (not fussed about going quick, just seeing it). Even on foot would be great though. Got a mate who's just done his CBT so might see if I can talk him in to it...

I've been thinking about going for years but never got seriously into ferry bookings, or missed them entirely.

I deliberated for a while, but then just picked some dates and went for it - decided on race week, saturday (red eye ferry!) to saturday (late return) via Liverpool.

Currently billy no mates, couldn't be bothered with the fuss of trying to coordinate a group - i'd talk myself out of it - but i'm sure someone I know will go!

Next up, accommodation, camping or B&B. Reassured to see people finding places to stay for one/two easily on facebook groups now, for this year! I'm not going to be fussy, it's just parking for the Multistrada and a bed for the night i'd have thought.
