Or, and I say this as a biker, selfish biker can't be arsed waiting till a safe legal overtake of cyclist is avalaible, crosses white line and causes other traffic to have to avoid him.
I must admit if I see a cyclist coming the other way with traffic behind them I always move over a bit cos I'm half expecting eejit car drivers to overtake cos " well there's room anyway" and force me off my line.
But totally agree in it ain't really news and happens a lot more than it should.

In summary, motorbike gives cyclist appropriate space whilst overtaking, oncoming driver panics and swerves left into space that was there to be used all the time.
Hold the front page for this.
WHAT....Hold the front page for this.
In summary.
"Appropriate space".....Highway code....leave at least 1.5 metres when overtaking cyclists at speeds of up to 30mph, and give them more space when overtaking at higher speeds.
Thats the first one for you. The road was 6M wide....... (Roads have to be a min of 5.5M to have a line down the middle).
ie 3M either side. 30 mph limit.
"Oncoming drive panics" I did?? Quite an imagination youve got there.
"Swerves to the left into space that was there to be used all the time!" I was in a car. What space? It was a 2 lane highway. 6M wide, 3M either side.
Think YOU need to read the Highway code matey.

Driver explodes in a hissy fit, because things didn’t go his way.
I’m sure every driver knows the dimensions of a road and the width requirements for a white central dividing line.

What else didnt I do.....rant with rage shouting at something?...Gesturing at the motorbike/cyclist/trees....shaking my fist....OR just saw a motorbike overtake a cyclist and go into oncoming trafic.

So now its "exploding in a hissy fit. Things didnt go my way"...make your mind up. Road widths arent exactly difficult, overtaking etc is in the Highway code, try reading it.

Use of several ellipses, multiple consecutive question marks, use of capitals mid-sentence, are all definite signs of someone typing whilst having a hissy fit. Not to worry, someone might agree with you at some point and you can cuddle up to that to help you sleep tonight. As a cyclist who is fed up of cars passing me so closely that I could hit them simply by sticking my elbow out, I'm happy when someone leaves a good amount of space. IME motorcyclists usually do leave plenty of room as they are more 'aware' of the perils of being on 2 wheels.
That said, passing car drivers shouldn't be causing the other side traffic to swerve but rather than wait a few seconds they often pass dangerously in order to maintain their car-length, close-formation, tailgate-procession.
Sadly, tailgating and poor overtaking is something I witness most days (cycling), just last week I was overtaken right on the brow of a sharp humpback bridge with absolutely no forward visibility, there was a car oncoming but fortunately far enough from the bridge for disaster to be avoided.
