1980s Suzuki GR 650 - anyone here had/has one ?

there is one bike that comletely passed me by in the 80s, only saw one at an auction recently and somehow liked it.

In Germany, about 1.600 were sold.

Has anyone in here first-hand experience on that twin ?

Is this the rare case of no echo from the PistonHeads Massif ?

Can someone please tell how many were sold / are still registered now ?

It's a very rare bike, if I could find a scrapper I would use the motor for my gs450 long term build, but they just aren't available.
Even in the US they are hard to come across.
