Random one, I actually know the length shift rod I need but don't know where to find one.

Converting my VFR800F to a linkage shift as I can't get a comfy position with the lever directly on the splines (smashed ankle when I was young).

Needs to be 140mm between the locknuts, 160ish mm overall, left hand & right hand thread each end.

Can anyone let me know if the shift rod on their bike are these lengths please and I'll buy one. Thanks.

Something like this:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203005867930?var=503206...

Or this:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/286095099025

Would just need to order some small M6 threaded stud to use with your current rose joints?

Appreciate that's an option, would need a left hand thread stud & locknut too. Would prefer oem quality to be honest.

Having done this before on another bike I just got a shift rod made. It was dirt cheap on eBay.

When looking at Dan's EBay link, the below popped up in similar items, why it never came up in my searches I don't know.

Duly ordered.

Awesome, glad you have found something!

I find the eBay algorithm for searches to be all over the place, think it’s due to boosted listing, and often have more luck searching in Google which brings up eBay results.
