Seems to pose a lot more questions than it answers.
As a casual but not religious viewer I'd noticed them drop off the boil and haven't watched anything from them in a year or maybe two.
Personally I never gelled with Al so it doesn't feel like a loss but then it wasn't clear whether he'd still be there but just as a freelancer.

I’m not surprised, saw this coming for a while.
I have to say Chris has changed a lot over the last year or so (for the better I would say for him personally) which has changed the dynamic of the channel.
I feel for Al, I think Chris has always had his fingers in many pies and financially better off, but always got the sense Al is family man that needs to pay the bills

Listening to the Chris video it appears they are struggling to make money from youtube with the more edgy content and i guess Al wanted to make the channel more formal so they could make a good living from it (suspect Chris isn't short of a bob or two from his previous work but probably not the same for Al).I saw this coming, it seemed like they were rarely on camera together and when they were, it seemed strained. Chris comes from money and is always driving round in the latest Porsche, buying the latest limited edition bikes etc. Fagan just seemed to be a normal working class bloke from the south-west.
It's tough being in business with a friend, even tougher when one of you can rest easier if the business fails whereas the other is entirely reliant on it succeeding.
I wish all the best to both of them, I tried watching the MCN video but it all seemed a bit sterile.

I think Chris has a habit and a history of being difficult to work with and torching what should have been good relationships.
He fell out with Bahnstormer, Motoline, numerous personal relationships and now Al. He strikes me as a bloke who is not open to the thoughts of others and isn’t willing to listen.
44teeth had gone stale, of that there is no doubt. What made them brilliant was not the thing that could sustain them into the future. Being “daft lads on bikes” starts to look a bit sad when you’re solidly in your 40’s.
The BBB Bratislava was perhaps the epitome of that. You can’t be both a media channel that works with bike manufacturers on one hand and a Nuts/Zoo/Loaded magazine tribute on the other.

How did you find this out? Al and Chris are both listed as directors on Companies House but I didn't look at their accounts docs.It wouldn't surprise me if true, Chris would have obviously had more money to put in on the startup.
In the last few years I think it's just been a vehicle to sell tickets for the bbb tour and it lost something since they started doing that. Before they'd do more random fun things and comparison tests and then it just turned in to press launches and BBB content. I liked the random news shows they'd do and would have thought they could have made a podcast work but I suppose there's just not the numbers of people interested in motorbikes to make it viable.

Agreed. I always loved the content with Al and Boothy, and sometimes Mossy too. It’s blurred lines more than ever between who has their own channel and who is freelance.
On 15th July MCN advertised for a new chief road tester so it’s not likely to be Al given he’s already put out content for them.
Can’t be an easy sector to make a consistent living from. Chops has a lucrative day job as does Chris.
