Carpuride... Worth It or Not?

Hola Peeps,
So, I am now on a BMW S1000XR and this big ol' bike is beautiful! (She's called Bertha!)
Now I feel I need a satnav, and I don't fancy the idea of having my phone sat in a cradle on the handlebars.
Are the Carpuride any good? I also have a Cardo Pack Talk Edge so will my music still connect to that through it?

The benefit of the Carpuride BMW version is it locks to the nav prep, powers from it and works with the wonder wheel. Granted, it’s a bit more than £30 though.
Carpuride do have after sales. I mailed them with a problem (turns out it was the nav prep which BMW replaced under warranty, but they did respond promptly.

Don’t see why they wouldn’t support you. They didn’t ask me where I bought mine.
I have a W702BS on a GSA. It fits the nav prep mount. There’s enough adjustment to make it clear the TFT for me, but I guess it depends on your riding position. I wouldn’t want anything smaller than the 7” and I prefer to be able to control it with the wonder wheel. That said, the touchscreen works fine with most of my gloves.

I've had my carpirude for 2 years now, it's been wet, shaken about, generally not cared about and is still perfect.
Connection is 99% of the time seamless to my phone and cardo. Very occasionally it will send audio to my phone rather than the cardo when I first turn it on but that could be my phone causing the problem and just turning the bike off and in again sorts it. Basically it's no more buggy than the android auto in my car.
The screen on it works well with my gloves on, which is one of the main reasons I bought it as trying to use a touchscreen on a phone whilst riding with gloves on is a ball ache.
The only issue I've had with it in 10000 miles was the screw in the ball mount on the back of it rattled loose so I had to properly locktight it in there.
I got mine on ebay in an open box as new
10/10 would recommend to a friend.

king massive and way too big really for my bike, the only reason I chose it is because it was the cheapest on offer I could find and I wasn't sure about the quality of them either. If I ever get another one it will be the smaller version as I don't think it would lose any functionality being any smaller.
The screen is so big on mine that I can have the screen set up like I do in the car with both music and maps showing at the same time, there's no real need for that so could have a smaller unit and just full screen the maps if needed

Be aware that you can get the exact same thing from AliExpress for a fraction of the price and they do the BMW “wonder wheel” etc.
I’ve got a 6.25” widescreen “Navifly” which cost me £53 and came in four days. It’s the same as the Carpuride (same menu screens etc). It’s very slick. Advantage over the Carpuride is that it has a flat back, whereas the Carpuride has a non-removable RAM ball mount which limits fitting options. I had a guy 3D print me a really nice looking bracket that mounts it to the Tenere nav bar, looks oe.
Can’t fault the functionality- I use it with WAZE normally but have done a fair bit of riding on the TET in Europe and OSMand works very well indeed with offline maps.
Worth considering if the one you get has a very glossy screen is a Brotech matte screen protector.

I buy quite a few things through it as it’s a way to cut out the middleman. A lot of motorbike sat navs, and parts sold by Western companies like bashguards/radiator guards are just Aliexpress products with a hefty markup and bit more customer support.
I have three Carpuride screens one on each bike.
I can't fault them 2 x 5'' and 1 x 7'' if anything i think the 7'' screen is too big.
They all have never failed to connect or work as they should. I use them with a cardo freecom 3 and found that if i route the music through the carpuride then to the cardo the quality isn't as good as coming straight from my phone to the cardo so i route it straight from the phone once setup it works everytime.

I've been using Carpuride since Christmas (it was a prezzie 
). I commute a 60 mile roundtrip 3 x a week + regular weekend rides. It's been great. connects everytime seamlessly to my phone and Sena comms unit. I listen to the radio on my commute, use Siri to WhatsApp Mrs G968 (she worries that I'll be killed riding in to London and requires a message to know I'm safe), take calls, use my TomTom and Waze etc. Great bit of kit. I went for the smaller one as another guy at work has the 7" unit on his GSA and it just looks too big. I have GS1300 and the smaller unit is the perfect size for me. TBH I don't really ever us the wonder wheel to drive it, it works but is fiddly and it's just much easer to use the touchscreen (all my gloves are compatible).
Used it through the pi55ing rain and cold of winter and 37+degrees of summer in London. The heat killed the suspension on my GS but the Carpuride has had no problems at all.
