Helmet ear plugs
Discussion
I've got some Ultimate Ear moulded ear plugs with wireless speakers in them. I use them to listen to podcasts /music in my Elise, but they are suitable for bikers. They work really well and battery lasts forever.
I have another pair of 'plain' moulded plugs from them that I wear riding.

Wired on a bike are a PITA
Wireless ones aren't great either - mine would be dislodged when I put my helmet on
I went for Cardo speakers and foam ear plugs and am very happy with them

I will advocate all day long for these - either wireless or wired and connected to a Cardo. Absolute game changer especially for longer rides. The wired Ultimate Ear moulded ones I had were good, but the wire did come detached and not after a great deal of use. They also let in more wind noise than the non speaker UE moulded plugs, and were very expensive (c £150 over 10 years ago) - they broke after about 5 years of intermittent use.
My ears changed shape also so they stopped sealing nearly as well.
The quality may be better now, but I am not sure I would buy them again if I start to ride regularly once more.
I tried putting speakers inside my lid, but they put too much pressure on my ears so became sore - I reckon I would need a new lid with proper cut-outs or something integrated.
