I have a GSXR600 (K1) style and would like to get a "little" extra from it.

I already have a Yoshimura race can, which is excellent, but can anyone recommend some worthwhile performance mods that don't necessarily cost the earth?

Try a smaller gearbox sprocket... cost a tenner, gives you mental accelaration with a 5-10mph cut in top speed.

I tried this on several bikes and it gives more noticeable effect than a can+dyno. The loss of top speed is a bit irrelevant as well.

ive got dyno jet on my ZX6R and a race can when its properly tuned it should produce a similar power output of the 636 , ive ridden my mates standard 6R against my 6R with the dynojet and mine is a bit quicker , revs up faster , dont bother with the K&N filter though as a kwack mechanic told me the standard filter breaths better so there is no point in paying out just to say you have a K&N , set up properly on a dyno the bike should just be over 100bhp at the back wheel , if this is true i will be well chuffed

You need a little extra from it.... hmmm... why? If you can ride one to optimum (which is pretty difficult - I can't admittedly!) and you NEED to go faster (yeah... right!) then buy something with bigger cubes... only way to fly! As for acceleration - Av gas?
You racing it? Or is this just a 'boys want better toys... mine's bigger than yours is' thing ;-)

100 or more at the back wheel? nah you might see 90 ish if your lucky! 918cc blade with full race system aftermarket filter and dynojet kit, 139.8 bhp at the crank kidda, you'll see a hundred at the crank but not at the back wheel. Oh and ive owned 3 and done rolling road work so I do belive Im in a position to share my knowledge.
