Anyone used these? I don’t have enough space for a full ventilated Carcoon-type storage bag, but wondered whether these vacuum bags with desiccant in them are any good, or just a waste of plastic?

This sort of thing.

At work we have some old agricultural outbuildings where a bloke stores a couple of bikes. He used that type of vacuum bag - it was a total faff wheeling the bike into the bag whilst 2 other blokes attempted to hold the end open. Vacuuming was not easy & sealing everything up took several attempts & was impossible to get 100% hermetic. Not only that, the side stand caused a rip in the side & now its bodged up with tape.....
My 2p: not worth the effort!

Fair enough, I’ll scrub that idea off then!

If you have power. But a tubular green house heater. Mount it on plywood covered in tinfoil which helps to reflect heat towards. Place under bike. Then cover with indoor cover.
Uses minimal electricity and stops all condensation.
