Once again, I come to insurance and it seems prices have skyrocketed with my premiums almost doubling, despite being older and doing less miles.

Who are we all using?

Bonus points for anyone who has a mildly modified bike (no engine mods).

I'm with Hastings, Bikesure is a bit cheaper and easy to deal with.
Bennetts I called and they couldn't get their systems working, then when I did they asked me to send through a full breakdown with prices for the bike and all the individual parts on the bike, which I'm not doing.
Howden want to triple the premium.

Any recommendations?

Been with Bikesure for about 5 years now, usually they are within 10% of the cheapest on the comparison sites, and they include all the mods on my bikes, no hassle. One year I remember the renewal came through and it had gone up more than usual so I queried it and they tried a different underwriter for my multi bike policy and ended up within a few quid of the previous year so stayed with them.

Daughters car ins has gone down , wife’s car ins is about the same , my bike ins is £184 for z900 , car ins this year has gone through the roof , must be x7 previous years .
Strangely I’ve had loads of surveys from the car insurers lately , all got the same comment , for a 1.0 focus at 65 £1,500 is a joke , daylight robbery , ins is due to renew in dec I believe , will be interesting to see if they take any notice of my comments , if not I’m off .
