Yep the CBR600RR is a nice bike, especially if you're out for a blast or going to do track days on it!

Either of the ZX6Rs, 600 or 636

Is it just for fun or to commute as well, if it's just for fun then I'd be tempted to a Ducati 748

Mainly for fun!

Will be used to go to work on occasions but that is not that much of an issue because at the moment work is only 2 miles.

New 675 Triple coming out early 06 that will probably affect residuals on the 650. Nice bike though...

where abouts in the country are you? and is going to a dealer really 100% nescesary(sp?) private you should easily be able to find a mint 03 or 53 reg private, and thier a very well built and put together bike, dealers tend to charge through the nose for these bikes as they are quite popular, for instance after doing my reaserch im going to sell mine for £5k(04 Reg,mint with 3400 miles and an Akra can) but from a dealer this would be more, if you want any advice on these bikes let me know and i will try my best to help, also if your after a 636 PM me i know of a friend selling a good one.

I am not sure what mine is worth, i bought the CBR600FY from a dealer in Essex 2 years ago this December. I was looking to buy from a dealer to get the warrenty (hopefully not needed) but also on the part ex side of things, just easier. What do you think i would get for the bike

CBR600FY - Yellow & Black on an X-reg 2000. Excellent condition only 6,500 miles, never used in the wet and totally standard.

6500 miles isnt alot for an X reg, is it in good condition and been well serviced etc? i would try for maybe £2800 or perhaps even £3k for it, thier a popular bike as thier built well and are good for commuting but with a bit of harder riding thrown in at the weekend.

It is more or less showroom condition, it was service when i bought it 2 years ago at about 4k and is due for one next month, do you think that is all i would get. I was hoping for £3k on a trade in maybe i have been over estimating.

this is also a crap time of year to sell a bike and better to buy.

bike dealers are notourious(sp?) for kicking you in the bollox when it comes to a trade in, my advice would be to avoid one at all costs and sell yours private, bike trader,MCN or even e bay just get your bike in front of people and im sure someone will want it, just from a 2 min look:

User name says it all...

I had a GSXR 750 before which everyone raves about, but I love the handling on the trumpet... it really is sensational. Now it's damp, you can slider the rear at will - it is so forgiving.

Also the comfiest for me at 6ft 3.

Try one - you may be surprised...

I had a go one the TT600 when i bought my CBR600F and thought it was really skitty in the corners not really sure where it was going. The CBR was much more point it in the direction and it went there much firmer and planted on the road. Sorry to anyone that rider them but i thought the TT600 was more of a chicks bike, the Daytona might be different, my local dealer Laguna Motorcycles is Triumph and Kwack so i feel a couple of test rides coming on.

Got to be honest and i am leaning towards at 636 at the moment. I really like the look of the B1 and the C1 looks like a craking bike but i have been told that the B1 is quite hard and used for tack days. The C1 being so new is pricey. Any comments on each.
