Supermoto - real bikes?

What do you think, are supermotos proper bikes?

Does anyone ride them as their only bike, and what do they corner/handle like? (can you tell I've never even been near one? )

Depends what you want a bike to do really. Not the best for distance work but fun on smaller twisties etc. Some are very high maintenance but there are more tame examples which stand up a touch better to daily use.
