If you don't wear glasses then a fog-city visor insert will sort you out and if you do wear glasses then you need a foggy breath guard.

I wear an open-face helmet, and find it effective to pull my chin and lower lip back so the breath from my mouth heads downwards. Not sure how effective it'd be with a full face though.

Fantastic things On my tinted visor I don't have one but if I leave it open a crack then it helps so long as I'm moving.

I beg to differ.I had on my shoei,& while it worked ok up to a point.I found that at low temps,it would mist up,& when they get scratched which they do really easily. They are a nightmare for night riding. As they reflect light badly,I bought an Arai.Astro R,& that never mists.Bloody brilliant things. The best cheap way to prevent misting is to use a small amount of Fairy, washing up liquid.Rub it into the inside of the visor, then polish it off.Only use a very small amount though.I have done this for years,& it works as well as anything.

Another thing you could try is a Respro Foggy Mask, it attachs to the helmet inside and covers your nose and mouth, and they do work very well.

That's what I use, got the name wrong earlier, excellent stuff and I can use a dark visor on the way to work and a normal visor on the way home at the moment without bothering with inserts and so on.

Ah well, each to his own and all that. Works fine on my Shoei, just as well really because Arai's are a horrible fit for my head.

Bob Heath visor spray on your visor/glasses, and Rain X on the outside of the visor.

Works for me.

Failing that, I just take my glasses off and ride with the visor open - in thick fog you're unlikely to be going at a particularly fast pace!

I use a suomy gunwind helmet, I didn't get on at all well with the Fog City insert that was supplied with it. I fact it was so bad that I took it off after about 2 days.

Personally I find the best thing is just to keep the visor open by 1 click and I use Rain Racer on the outside to help ditch the water.

Having said that I'm tempted to try the breath mask thingy, so if you do get one let us know how you get on with it

will do. am waiting for them to come in at the moment coz the bloke at fylde superbikes is waiting for them. BUT it could be a long time coz everyone is ordering them, and the manufacturers are struggling to supply the amount that have been ordered

Cheap top-tip.

Get some washing up liquid, and wipe over the inside of the visor using a DRY cloth. Keep polishing the surface until it goes clear with no smears.

Better than any anti-fog spray out there.

Fog-City is good, but when it's really cold and foggy a combo of more than one solution will probably be needed/

Just bought one of these and have to agree they're excellent.

I know this sounds silly - but another one that may work is shaving foam. Next time before you steam up the bathroom apply some foam to the mirror and polish/wipe off so the mirror is clean. The mirror wont steam up. Perhaps that can be applied to visors also ?

Be interested to find out

could try that, but no men in house to nick shaving foam from!

washing up liquid seems popular, so that could be worth a go now i know how to get the visor off my helmet (i forgot!)

will report back soon!
