Hi guys

I recently purchased some Klan heated clothing - a jacket liner & glove liners.

There's not many manufacturers to choose from and I wanted items that inter-connected. Here lies my problem!

Just above the cuffs on the Klan heated liner emerges a short cable with coaxial power connectors. Oddly on these liners the cable emerges in an upward direction i.e. towards the shoulder!! This cable has to be bent through 180deg and then attaches to the socket from the glove liners. The connection comes apart far to easily! In fact I haven't successfully maintained a connection for more than a few minutes!

Basically this renders the glove liners useless.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

To top it all, I travelled to Giali UK in Bristol to purchase these items. I paid for a large pair of glove liners but the guy in the shop put a small pair into the carrier bag. I returned the liners for an exchange for a large pair but they refused on the basis the returned liners have been worn!!

At £49 for the liners and £139 for the jacket, I'm not very happy with Giali's response.

Can't comment on the product, but can comment on the purchase. If the shop gave you the wrong items when you had already requested the correct item, then they have to take the them back.

By you asking them for a particular item, that is a contract, albeit a verbal one. The fact that you tried them on is irrelevant - clearly you thought they were the ones you had asked for. It was not until you wore them that you noticed they were the wrong ones. They have failed in their contract to give you what you asked for, therefore you are entitled to your money back.

Sale of Goods Act said:

Key Facts:

• Wherever goods are bought they must "conform to contract". This means they must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality (i.e. not inherently faulty at the time of sale).

Cleary the goods you bought do not "conform to contract" as they were not as initialy requested.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, the guy in the shop packaged the wrong item.

Despite reciting my rights to them and having returned them, they have simply taken the line that they WONT change them! So, I WILL be pursuing the matter - it's just the hastle factor.

What surprises me is this is a simple mistake anyone can make and as Giali are the sole importer of Klan gear in the UK, they can't even show the goodwill and exchange them.

The moral of the story is, don't deal with
