Just beofore I put my bike away for winter. (sorry not hard enough for cold weather riding) I was riding in a 30 zone and just up ahead a Post office van did Standing U-Turn from the side of the road with no indication and very nearly got me.

Last thurday while driving the car to pick my daughter up from school some young chav decides to pull out on me without looking from a pub. I say pull out but he virtualy drove in the side of me.
I was watching him until I was almost level his head was facing straight ahead because he was looking at a car opposite he flashed the other car. I looked at the other guy and he noticed me but flashed the other guy back other guy took this as a signal to pull out just as I wa on them
then Bang heard a noise didnt even see him pull out or have chance to brake or swerve.

All this has got me thinking I think Ive had enough of the bike. I love it and this year went to Spain on it which was one of the best things Ive ever done but I don't think I can do it any more.

There are just too many numpties around(me probably one of them). I swear standards drop weekly. On the way to work I drive Past wolverhampton a city in which not one person seems to have bothered ever getting their driving licence they try to kill me on a daily basis.

But this accident My first involving another vehicle has got me thinking. If I was on the bike Id be in hospital now or worse he couldnt even see a car FFS.

Its nothing new to me people pulling out Im used to it and pretty much expect it every where I go but this was something different.

I was thinking of selling the bike and getting something else. Think Ill just sell it.

The risks are no greater or less than they were before. I'd give it a while and see how you feel about it then and try not to dwell on it.
