Travelling into work this morning at 07:20 approx, i was travelling southbound on the A1M approaching Hatfield. The traffic was quite heavy due to an accident, but was moving at approx 60 mph.
Anyway, i witnessed a guy on a bike being almost run off the road!! He was travelling in the outside lane, and was keeping about 3 cars length to the car in front, and had just passed me. A white van (Fiat/Renault) behind him proceeded to speed up to him, and push him out of his lane from behind. The bike swerved into the middle lane verry abruptly, and gesticulated best he could. At this point the van DELIBERATELY swerved his van into the middle lane, then moved back to the outside lane. This was a deliberate move to scare the biker..which no doubt it did (it would have scared me). The van repeated this twice more. The biker at this point..after making his feelings clear got the hell out of the way!!
I was stunned, i couldn't believe it. I spent 3 years in the police, and never witnessed a pre-meditated deliberate move such as this. I just wish i got his VRM....!
If the guy on the bike is reading this, i'm glad you're ok, and nothing worse came of it. And if you're reading this Mr van driver....i think you are a complete PR*CK, who deserves to be removed from this planet forthwith!

If you took the registration, report the van.

Exactly the same thing happened to me, on the Runcorn Expressway about a month ago.

Sadly you're too busy concentrating on avoiding the pratt to take his VRM.

But if you did take it and report it, what good would it do without witnesses?

These guys really are the worst form of driver because, on a bike, you are just so vulnerable.

Ahh...in my defence my 'super' policing powers are at low ebb since leaving on medical grounds

Still...you made me laugh
