When I start up my Aprilia Falco from cold it's as if the clutch doesn't fully disengage when pulled in.

Once first gear is engaged, with clutch pulled in fully, the bike will tend to creep forward if I don't hold one of the brakes on. Occasionally, even engaging first gear will cause the bike to stall. Once the engine, and clutch presumably, are up to normal operating temperature the problem disappears completely.

So, Aprilia/Italian idiosyncracy or problem and huge bill looming??

Is it a Hydraulic or cable actuated clutch?, if Hydraulic maybe the line needs bleeding or if cable maybe that needs adjusting. Might just need be the oil is thick due to cold weather or needs cahnging, that or the clutch is Knacked.

I'm having just the same issue, but i have just completely overhauled the clutch (ZXR750 so Hydraulic, did the, Friction Plates, Metal plates, push rod, thrust bearing, torque limiting washer, Master and slave cylinder kits), I'm thinking still need to bleed the system a bit more.
