trackday insurance cost?

Anyone have a rough idea of what insurance costs for a trackday on something like a CBR600 (average trackday bike) ?

Not sure what it would be for your bike, but I have looked into track insurance a couple of times for my bike (Ducati 955SP corse) and had to give up. It seems that it is very expensive (£100 to £150 per day) and the excess is very high too so it seems to only be of interest if you totally bin it!
I don't know anyone who has taken any out. How did you get on finding any? Anyone know of any providers?

No I didn't on the basis that Ive had my bike stolen thus it's temporarily irrelevant
I did, however, find a company that rent race bikes cheaply (see thread below) and only take a £250 deposit which covers any accident thus I think i will certainly try them for the forseeable!

That sounds like a good deal to me - as long as it was in writing - lol!

I am thinking of going to a wheelie shcool and they do the same - you can use their bike all inclusive and if you bin it there is no additional cost to you.
