I'd start with ebike insurance. They were the cheapest by a long, long way for me (25 at the time, CBR600RR, first bike with a DR10 on my record).

I forget now - it was about a grand TPFT, or £2k fully comp.

H&R in Aberdeen are also very competitive. Have been with them for a few years now. I'm 32 and have max NCD. It's fully comp, protected and I have 5 points. £480 for a CBR1000RR-5 with Akrapovic pipe.

Look in the ad pages of MCN. There are loads of ads for insurers. Just spend an hour or so answering the same questions over and over. It'll be worth it in the end.

Just adding my tuppence.

H&R were very good for a 600 but wouldn't insure a Group 15 or 16 bike. ebikeinsurance covered the Sprint FC for a grand, 0ncb.

Agreed, i went with H&R for my CBR600F in the first and second year, they were much better than anyone else for the first year. I have gone with Honda direct now, less than £200 TFT with 2 years NCD.

There's no one insurer that will be the cheapest for everyone. You've got to do the legwork and call as many of them as possible. Just bear in mind, the cheapest cover is not always good cover.
