How the hell did he manage to get that out of his bike. Especially since he was meant to be casting his own pistons in sand.

Bike magazine in the UK says it'll be out end of Feb, unfortunately I live in France, so I'm not sure if we'll get it. I certainly hope so.

At last!

I thought no one had heard of the movie! Try to see it on the BIG screen rather than waiting for video release - the Bonneville Flats section is thrilling. It will get reduced to postcard size even on flat screen TVs.

Thanks LA, that is a bit of me. I love watching things like this.

Sort of the bike version of Eddie the Eagle

Brilliant film, well worth going to see, I laughed and cried similtaneuosly throughout the whole thing.

Top Bloke, good story, well shot movie and an inspirational meme....what more could you ask...

Totally recommended.

PS _Exactly_ the sort of movie you wanna watch before attempting to ride a 15 yr old rusty DR800 single 750 miles from Woking to Munich in one go. Took me 22 hrs (6hrs lost due to the chain breaking south of Brussels and having to get recovered off the motorway @ 237 Euros :-0 , then kip on the floor of the Belgian mechanics garage whilst he finished lunch) in Sun, rain, snow, ice and hail. Took me several hours when I arrived to deforst myslef in a hot bath....fun though...

To add: The movie is two and a quarter hours long, the last third set at Salt Flats to recreate the record-breaking attempts of that year, cars and bikes. The producers somehow managed to encourage collectors and owners to bring fabulous historic machinery including Challenger One. It's an independent film yet by word of mouth the little cinema I was in was crowded late at night, folk laughing, cheering, and applauding. I joined in out of sheer exhuberance. It's that good. Hopkins is terrific. And they have the real Indian motorbike that set the record.

If you love cars and bikes and speed this is a great wee film NOT to be missed.

Yes, watched it last night with Mrs L and we thought it was great.
Enjoyed the whole thing. Burt reminded me of my own Grandad who always introduced himself to anyone who looked at him.

Great film- well worth watching
