Ooh, that'll keep me entertained over the weekend whilst the missus is working. Unless it's sunny of course, in which case i'll be out on the real bike

I rented it over the weekend and it’s a bit of a letdown for 3 reasons.

First, the bikes are too easy to handle. You can pretty much do what you like mid corner and not fall off, a new GSXR1000 round a corner at full lean in 2nd gear crack the throttle wide open and it doesn’t even hint at loosing grip. If you go into a corner too fast don’t worry just slam the brakes on and it will slow down and get you round.

Second the layout of the game makes it very easy to get the top bikes early on so there is not much life in the game. there is no money involved like the GT series just a single (usually quite easy) race that you can either win or just get ahead for 10secs and you get the bike your after.

3rd NO TUNING

Graphically amazing, very good fun, but no good as a sim and a bit too short.

was that arcade or simulation mode? it sounds like arcade, thats serious enough handling faults to put me off buying it.

There are 2 sections to the game just like the GTs, “arcade” and “tourist trophy”. I didnt bother with arcade as I never got on with it in the GT series, not involved enough.

So in answer to your question that was not arcade mode and if your after a sim then your better off with Riding Spirits 2.

I would recommend renting it though, I got it from blockbusters £3.95 for 2 nights. It’s a lot cheaper than buying it and there is defiantly 2 nights worth of fun in it.

You can slide the rear tyre and lose the front....on road tyres....
Top game ...equal with Moto Gp 4 but lacks the depth of GT4...however it has the ring so thats all that matters...

Looking back I did see an option for road tyres. Can you still successfully compete in races with them fitted?

Yes but the rear will slide and the front slides...care is required..

Might have to have another look then. Seems a bit poo that its not realistic by default or is that how bikes handle with race tyres?

Try arcade mode with a race 1000 with the power at max and the weight reduced...on road tyres...smoke that rear tyre..and you will fall off...
