A few friends are planning a track day soon, and we were discussing if you need to put road legal cans back on, and re-map power commanders etc......
I thought tat you could pretty do whatever you liked whilst on the track?

Cheers.

You should be fine mate - bear in mind they'll be a lot of purely track bikes there.

Just check that there isn't a dB limit on the day if you've got noisy cans.

How you finding the new bike?

Silverstone next Saturday have a 105dB limit - I hope my race can isn't any louder than that!

I doubt it, 105db is full race noise level inc. F1. My Yoshi can had no probs at Silverstone with 105db limit.

105 db is normal race bikes. Some race bikes - latest Supersport 600 are getting lower limits (102?) and all Akrapovic Evo 2 systems make 107 so there must be some other differences somewhere.

Moto GP is allowed to be louder and F1 louder still.

Cheers. I'm taking my spare race can as it has the hole drilled for a 'db killer' baffle, should I need it.

Not quite!, I measured a diablo with sport exhaust at track day measurements & it was 118db! & an f1 car is just a tad louder!

Apologies, it was what I was told by the organiser when asking the same question.

How do you find your riding? I'm still not up to the "level" I was on the old one... still quite nervous. Can't wait for the sun!

It takes a while to get the feel of a new bike I find. This weather doesn't help either.

I'm going to use it as much as I can over the next couple of weekends then I'm going to Mallory Park with it in March to really abuse it
