Had to walk through London the other morning. Near the Gurkin, there is a bike parking area on the corner of a street.

It was about 8:30am when I passed it and appeared to be full.

However a scooter rider had found a gap approvimately 3/4 the width of his chicken chaser, had lined the scooter up with the gap by holding it by the luggage rails on the back and was repeatedly slamming it in to the bikes on either side to make it fit.

Id this normal in London, I had considered using my bike to commute in to town on the odd occasion, but I think I'll scrap that idea.

Anybody who rides into London and parks in a bike bay can expect scratches and scrapes from inconsiderate scooter riders who don't give a sh1t about anybody else's P&J.

Agree with your sentiments completely. The lack of respect extends to their riding too unfortunately, too many tailgating ts on the road, most of them on scooters. Much as I'd like to feel I've misjudged them, I've not had any reason to change my mind in more than three years.

Steve.

wait till he come back follow him and run the Nice chap into the nearest lamp post.

I would be re-enacting Death Wish if I was a biker - best save it for far off holidays!

Yeah right, put a nice car in a supermarket car park and it's like the tts are magically attracted to it with their shopping trollies and car doors.

In supermarket car parks here you always see the 'peoples pride and joy' cars right out at the edges of the car park, away from the majority of the rest of parked cars.

Few hundred feet walk for peace of mind.

what a w*nker of scooter rider, personally if i caught him doing that to my bike i would have made him pay for the damage, if he refused i would push his scooter into the path of an oncoming HGV or bus as thats what the little tosser deserves.

weirdly enough in Soho yesterday, after driving past 4 / 5 full bike parks found a gap i was happy with, came back to bike hour later and some d*ick courier on a c90 step thru had squeezed his POS moped in between my bike and the one next to it

he was standing by FFS why did he have to squeeze the thing in there?, he had to lift the bike upright for me to get mine out - i was a courier for more than five years and i reckon i never used a bike park once to park up let alone standing by for the next job

i would never ever consider touching someelses bike without thier permission let alone move it so i can park mine

Ha ha. Good on the scooter rider. Lets face it he look advantage of a situation, you would have done the same. I have done exactly the same before in covent garden, because two bike were taking up 3 spaces. So i got my scooter by the rear grab handle and slid it in. You can push it over if you like. Nick the front wheel, cost £20 for a new one. I would never intend to damage anyone elses bike or scooter doing it. Its funny how people asume that all people that ride scooters are P*ssys. If i caught you doing my bike over i would give you a kicking. I think you guys need to chill about scooters. Lets face it, there the best way to get around London.

May I suggest that you use your scooter to get yourself to an adult literacy class...

took advantage of the situation?? - the situation was this guy put his moped in a space that didnt exist and if he wasnt there to hold his POS moped upright i woudnt even have been able to get my leg over my bike

so how do you gauge 2 bikes in 3 spaces?, my old lambrettas had center stands that kept the scooter upright, this dick (and you by the sounds of it) dont realise a motorcycle on its sidestand is at an angle and needs to be upright to get of the space

"You can push it over if you like. Nick the front wheel, cost £20 for a new one. ---- ride scooters are P*ssys. If i caught you doing my bike over i would give you a kicking"

so can we push your scooter over or not?

This isn't about the fact that it was a scooter, it is what he was doing with it that causes conern.

The scum bag freak boy on the scooter would still be at stoke manderville trying to get the front wheel i removed, out of his Ass
