Greetings,
I have just moved to Willesden Green. I have a '99 SV 650 that needs a little tlc on the brakes...
Can anyone recommend a garage nearby that is cheap and efficient, or just efficient!!
Many thanks! Hope I get a few suggestions quickly!
I have an SV - what's your problem with the brakes?
Steve.
They are binding. Makes the bike f***ing impossible to move in the morning. I think they need some new parts...
It loosens up once its running, but you cant move the thing wihtout the engine on.
Also, if you do an emergency stop they bind again for the next five minutes.
Pain in the grass.

Change the brake fluid and bleed the system too. Also, buy some brake cleaner and liberally spray the rivets that hold the outer disc to the carrier. These should move fairly freely and it massively reduces the heat build up on the disc which reduces the heat everywhere else through the braking system.
