My letter was printed by Bike!
Discussion
I'm sure most of you couldn't care less, but I'm so chuffed
. Just bought my copy of this months Bike, flicked through to the letters page and there is my letter in black and white. Made me bloody happy!
If anyones interested (
) here it is:
It was a bit longer than that and they've cut it down a fair bit. Anyway, I'm so happy now

In the "Bike Prang Predictor" (Feb) I fell into the highest risk zone. Very accurate as well - as I sit here writing to you, I'm nursing injuries from my crash yesterday afternoon. Wet road, cold tyres, and I hit the deck on the second left hand bend of my ride, just metres from the end of my street.
My bike is now sitting in my garage, with several parts lying on the floor around it and an engine that no longer sounds much like an engine. I'm dreading the repair bill.
So congratulations on your great article and your far-too-accurate crash predictor.

I'm glad some good's come of it, but having your bike in bits must be a pisser...Hope it's an easy repair...
I was following the thread 'Jeans or leathers?' - I hope you'll stick to leathers now... I used to ride in just jeans and a jacket a lot, but just the thought of sliding down the road with nothing but denim keeping my skinny arse off the tarmac makes me go with the leather every time now...
An aside - Is it just me or is BIKE magazine far and away better than any other bike mag out there?

See, the crash was worth it in the end, you're famous now
It was worth the £250 repair bill just for that

Yes! I found that too. I've bought most other bike mags, but the likes of PB and Ride really don't appeal to me. Not sure why, I just don't like their style or writing...

If your thing is what they used to call 'Bolides', then PB is okay, although after Ronnie Smith died and Gus Scott left (
RIP Guys...)it kinda lost its appeal.. And if you need to find the worlds best disk-lock, then RIDE is a good place to start looking... But for all round real world riding, on what-ever sort of bike, there can be only one proper read... Any opinions on Cyril Green? I reckon some (or all
) of his stories are the product of an over-active imagination, but i don't care; they're hilarious...
T.W.O. I find is the most informative of the crop. Niall Mackenzie offering a mature perspective balancing out Whitham's Gung-ho methods. Good quality reports and not biased to one manufacturer. They are the only magazine out there not glorifying the GSXR1000 as the only bike everybody should ride.
