Hi all, I am thinking about getting a GSXR1100 WP, it is a 1992 (K) with 24k on the clock, anyone had any experience with them????
I currently have a ZXR 750 H1.
I had a go on one in 1994 around the 'Ring' - bloody quick at that time 175+mph, but a bit top heavy. It's also the only bike I've ever got to the edge of the Front tyre......

In 1992 I ran a green H1 and if I remember correctly the 1992 Suzuki colour schemes were possibly the worst ever put on bike. The equivalent of that shocking Arsenal away shirt from a few years back.
For that reason alone I would stick with the Kawasaki which also has one of the best standard exhaust notes ever. I reached my highest ever top speed on my H1 that same year on the M3 one evening in June......
Also seem to recall that the equivalent 1992 Yamaha was a much better bike.

Up until recently i owned a 1991 GSX-r1100m
I owned a 98 ZX9 before that.. (dont ask why.. there was a KR1s in between)
Anyway mine had an Akropovic full race system and stage 3 dynojet.
Went like a rocket in a straight line. Despite the weight, lifted the front wheel in 1st 2nd and 3rd.
A very top heavy bike being slab sided and the frame going over the top of the engine, and its heavy too so you have to muscle the bike quite a bit.
I had a Pirelli Dragon on the back and Dragon Corsa on the front and it didnt handle bad. (if you're committed!)
Its just a different riding experience from the current superlight superbikes.
Try one for a few miles and see what you think
all the best,
Nick
