Good to see ITV to have the bottle to cover this live as opposed to endless effin darts/snooker/boring fat barstewards masquerading as sportsmen.

Whole presentation had a gloriously amateur feel to it compared with the Beeb's Moto GP coverage. Apart from Jamie W where did they get the rest of the presenters from?? Mind you, more bikes on telly is a good thing regardless.

Still, I'll be watching the rest of the season.

I must say, I was very disappointed with the coverage, it must be that we have been spoilt over the last 3 seasons or so, with the coverage SKY has provided. It all felt very cheap and rushed, seems a shame that we don't get to see the Supersport and Virgin Yamaha boys.

Lets hope it improves, and they give a bit more time to the programme

All the more pleased to see it on terrestrial as I don't have Sky etc, so cant compare to previous seasons. Even the camera work seemed a bit dodgy with rain (surely not in the UK!)meaning lots of blurred coverage. You'd have thought even ITV would have a technical workaround for that.

Agree...good it's on terrestrial. But, thought it was C**P coverage. (Apart from Jamie)
To used to Keith & Neil (even though Neil said he wouldn't do any presenting this year)

I also thought it a shame using the Indy circuit. Talk about confusing as riders were lapped.

And what about Shakey...'03 champ lapped. As he said, he needs to re-learn Superbikes..Though I'm sure the Rizla Suzuki needs a bit more time too..
(Good to see JR in the Rizla garage)

The opening round of BSB is always on the Indy circuit at Brands. The full circuit can only be used so many times a year due to local residents complaining about the noise of the full circuit. The closing round is on the full circuit in October.

Sky Sports Extra show all the classes including Super Stock later on in the evening

I was toying with the idea of going along, but the weather forecast and the MotoGP on Eurosport persuaded me otherwise. Still not sure it was the right decision: crap coverage vs. getting stuck in the mud on the way out. The director managed to miss Haslam overtaking Lavilla, in the first leg I think (might be wrong on that) which considering it was a highlight prog. was inexcusable. Whit was his usual excellent self, but his colleague in the box was hopeless, and as for the grid bimbo.....congratulating McConnell after he'd just lobbed it was priceless.

Yep..noticed that too. Poor kid looked like he'd been crying.

Grid bimbo..didn't she used to be a gladiator, & I think an editor/writer/tester for the Used Bike Guide?

Not sure about her credentials, but her enthusiasm did seem to get the better of her, rushing around the grid, interupting people. At least its on terrestrial - even though I've got a dish, I'm too mean to pay for Sky Sports, especially as 99% of their programming involves kicking / hitting / catching a ball of some description.

She also did that dead cheesy bike programme on Men & Motors with Franchesca Robinson, and the girl who usually races at the TT. I so hoped ITV had brought Leigh McKenzie over from Sky, she was great on the grid

I think once the T.V team get up and running over the season they will improve...The first round is always badly produced...Even the BBC had to `miss` the first round a few years back when the coverage didn`t match there usual standards...The dukes look a class act...Haslam will need to be as consistant as Lavilla
