"I hate pikeys"
Discussion
Some little asswipe went and pushed my bike over outside my flat (in Brixton) last night -setting the Datatool off and waking up the neighbours in the process...
I got out there pretty damn quick to see two hooded
ride off on their BMX's, while the guy who lives in the flat above helped me lift up the bike and put it straight. No major damage done except a slightly skewed clutch lever and a gear shift that's been bent inwards towards the engine.
So two questions:
1. Can you actually get away with trying to bend parts like the gear shift pedal back, without the risk of snapping them?!
and 2. Any takers for paying these little punks a visit?

If the lever is steel, no problem. If it's ally (more likely) then it will need heating to bend in back.
If you touched the kids you would get a record and be listed as a child offender.
If you reported them you would get a shrug and a crime reference number so you could claim on your insurance and pay twice the premium next time. Even if the Police could be bothered to get off their arses and follow it up the kids would probably just get a ticking off and a holiday at Disney.
Mine happened in Southwark and the local police stations attitude has affected my desire to ever help the police in any way ever again.

If you are bending an alloy lever back into shape, get a damp cloth bung it in the microwave untill its hotter than hot, wrap it round the lever leave for a minute or so then slowly bend the lever back, if it cools too much pop the cloth back in the microwave and repeat the process.

Thought you were not supposed to put metal in a microwave?

[quote=bimsb6]what has this post got to do with pikeys ?
They had HOODS on.
doesn't that make them hoodies ?
reply:
You're not treating this seriously, are you?
I'd call these bozos hoodlums, especially as they think they rule the hood...if you had a road roller and could run them over and squash them flat, then they wouldn't be pikeys, but piklettes...you might then put them in an envelope and post them to Dublin...from whence they might be returned marked "opened in Eire."
