Should I wait ?

I'm thinking of chopping the CBR in for an Aprilia RSV Mille 
, chatting to the dealer as you do about finance, alarms, insurance etc, he then casually mentions delivery on the 1st of March 
, he assumed I'd want to wait for the 03(?) plate... b..b..but that's 48 days, 18 hours, 50 minutes away...
Is the reg that big a deal these days? Would it make more than a couple of hundred quid difference at trade in time, bearing in mind the bike would be the latest 2003 model?
P.S Is £200 quid about right for fitting a Datatool system 3, plus datatagging?

If one's for sale then buy it and look very cool riding your RSV 
RSV Nice bike, I wouldn't think the reg is that important to resale value, certainly wouldn't bother me, I would be more intersted by condition etc, but not sure how the trade would look at it.
If you want it now - go for it, I bought my 916 about 2 months before the reg change coz I couldn't wait (mind you I would have missed most the summer if not) although not sure I'd want to be riding it (or an RSV) today! would you want to use it much in Jan/Feb? with all that salt etc on the road.
If reg does make much difference to the value ask if the dealer will give a bit off for buying now when they're not busy.
Price for the alarm/datatag sounds about right to me although Datatag is very easy to fit yourself, I believe in many cases insurance companies insist that alarms/immobilisers are professionally fitted to qualify for eligibility/discount - I prefer to fit my own as the pro's generally don't pay the sort of attention to detail that I like.
Anyway enjoy the V-twin power - you know it makes sense! (and you can boast of something big & throbbing between your legs, Ooer!)

I collected it this afternoon, and although cold, its been dry and sunny up here.
The torque compared to the CBR600 is awesome, the brakes are in a different league as well.
Probably the biggest difference is how composed the bike feels, the CBRs suspension seemed easily overwhelmed by a less than perfect road surface where the Mille just soaks it up, you just feel so much more confident on it.
'Can't wait until it is run in and the temperature rises a bit.
