I had mine MOT'd on Thursday, didn't need the Documents, BTW the new 'improved' VOSA on-line MOT system was down all week so I got an 'emergency MOT certificate' original to follow by post when back online.
The tester had stopped taking bookings for MOT's until the system is back online and he's caught up otherwise he'll have a mountain of paperwork and postal costs to sort out.
And the price has gone up to £23.80, well somone's got to pay for the new 'efficient' system.

For a car MOT you have to take your V5, so I'd guess it'll be the same for bikes, either now, or pretty soon. All to do with the new security anti-theft regulations.
