Suzuki Bandit 600
Discussion
Been advertising my Bandit on PistonHead classifieds www.pistonheads.com/sales/49775.htm
Can't understand why I'm not getting much response
Popular bike aren't they?
Don't like E-Bay I'm a bit "old school" ( and a bit old to be brutally honest) when it comes to buying bikes and cars
See ad, Ring seller - chat - ask questions - if it sounds OK, go and have a look - if it's what you want haggle a bit - pay the cash and go home with new purchase - non of this bidding Sh1t and hope you win.
Those were the days.
If it doesn't sell no worries - just re-insured it for another year - Suns out(ish) and it's a bank holiday - happy days.

Dont think Ph is the best portal for bike sales really, MCN or bike trader more likely, older Bandits are not worth much now tho unfortunatly, esp when more modern stuff like newer Fazers, Hornets, SVs are down so low.
No need to be afraid of ebay, I used to be a yr ago as im a technophobe, but have sucessfully sold loads of bits now, just set either a decnet reserve or start the bidding at a higher level, or it could end up selling for 99p if you don't
ps Bike looks good anyway, my fave Bandit colour.
Good luck.

srdtvr I have a quick question for you.
My mate has a Suzuki Bandit 600 too, but we have only ever managed to get the damb heavy thing up onto its centre stand about twice.
It seems to be very very heavy and it took me two attempts to get it up on the stand yesterday.
One of my mates said that he read somewhere that his frame could be bent and thats why its not going up on the stand easily. Does yours go up ok?
Anyone else heard about this bent frame and center stand issue?

Sure I read in this months Ride that it is the stand that bends if you sit on the bike when taking it off the stand - it is this that makes it difficult to get on the stand - all you need (apparently) is a new stand
I'll give that a try thanks. I was in at Girders in Airdrie and seen Kat putting it up on the stand no bother so I guess it must just be the nack as you say.
I glad to hear that its only the stand that could be bent, from what my mate said he thought it ment the frame was bent. I'm sure this will aleave his worries.
Thanks

It`s all in the technique...stand on the bob that sticks out ..grab lower frame rail on subframe at the side of the seat and heave up and back while foot presses FIRMLY down on stand...
Thats right, push down on the stand not pull the bike, my missus used to be able to put my B6 on the stand and she was 5ft nothing and 7 stone.
Pop on ad on www.visordown.com, or www.bikechatforums.com/, or www.banditownersclub.com/ or others, even on ebay or in mcn, they are a popular bike, but there are 1000's of them, be competative on price.
They're ok bikes but I sold mine after 2 weeks and bought something more interesting (mind you owning it in the middle of winter didn't help!)
