Evening all,

I'm seriously considering taking the plunge and buying one of these as my 1st bike. Can anyone recommend a dealer that'll be able offer a decent discount off the rrp on a new bike. The best price I've been offered so far is £4399.

Cheers,

Baz

Have you ridden one yet? I was on the verge of getting one when I passed my test last year. The reviews put me off and I got a Kawasaki Z750. Love it.

A lot of people reckon the old Fazer is the better bike , have a go on the z750 as its a very good bike as phil says , also look at a SV650 , cracking little bike .

Not ridden one yet.

I just assumed that the old fazer was rated as a good starter bike so this would be to, although I have read about the brakes having gone a step backwards by having two pots fitted.

Seen one last weekend at my local dealers and thought they look the dogs!!!

What is the Z750 like as a first bike?

I like mine, more than quick enough, handles well enough an looks pretty good. I chose it over the usual suspects due to the higher capacity and the good reviews it had received. With a Z1000 screen, the main complaints about wind blast and light reflecting off the digital clocks are sorted.

If you have any specific questions let me know.
