Friend of mine needs a bit of help lads will try & convince her to join but in the mean time can anyone help out??

"I purchased an 06 CBR600F and I wish to replace the standard OEM exhaust with an aftermarket road can.

I have ordered one from (name taken out) after they verbally said they made a link pipe for the 06 model but after receiving it, removing the fairing and exhaust I found that the link pipe did not sufficiently clear the frame and that the lambda boss was the wrong diameter so the lambda sensor did not fit.

They acknowledged that the boss was the wrong size and that possibly the link pipe didn't fit and thus sent me a replacement link pipe with a 12mm boss. The lamba sensor did fit but when fitted the lamba sensor did not have sufficient reach to screw into the boss.
Moreover, when trying to position the link pipe to clear the swingarm, I found that the boss had to be moved further away from the ideal position and that the carbon can was fouling the swingarm and the hugger. In addition the centre stand standoff bracket, did not touch the centre stand, so it was free to bounce.

Can anyone recommend where I can get a link pipe preferably in the London area or get one made up?

Many tks

I will let anyone who helps buy me dinner
(excluding Vixpy)

I've used Renegage Products in the past. They are on a trading estate near Brands Hatch, they may be able to help. However, she may be better to chuck the lot back as not fit for purpose, get a refund and then purchase a different system that has been better designed.

Thanks Steve. How's the wife's back?

Any other recommendations for a Can & Link pipe that will fit a 06 CBR600F preferably with a removable muffler
(can't work out why it needs to be removable!! Leave it out all the time )

P.H. Massive to the rescue again

Well Steve anyway

"The guy at renegade was fantastic, he looked up the spec for my bike and called me back. He told me that the lambda boss should be located on a separate connecting section of pipe rather than the link pipe. He has kindly offered to look at the bike and fabricate on the spot. If I pop over after work - he will even wait for me!"

Many tks

Corr lucky old me eh Del!

An aside: I've read my previous post back and it comes across as a little harsh towards Simon C. This was not my intention, I cerntainly wasn't expecting him to reply. Given that a refund was put forward by the retailer straight away, I can only commend them for their attitute. I'm sure, given Simon's comments, one could have worked out a solution there too.
