A snip at £37.5k:

But it does make 200bhp

I've got room on my credit card for 1/10th of it at the moment - I need 9 others...

I think I'll be abale to afford it as my shares in Kleenex are doubtless about to skyrocket in value.

are they planning to mas market this and replace the 999? or is it going to be more of a special to run alongside thier current lineup-like the RC30 and RC45?, either way sadly £37.5k seems a little too much to even consider spending on a bike but i sure would like one

That would be the Italian telecommunications company that sponsors the Ducati Motogp team.

I've only just stopped beating off.

Fantastic isn't it? Cue the Japs making Gp reps with big price tags?

I'd love to think so but can't see it somehow.

I wonder if there are clues here as to the styling of the next breed of 749/999 though? (Please not for a couple of years though Ducati, I haven't had the 749 that long and I don't want to take a big hit on it!)

i think it could be possible for them to scrap thier V twin sportsbikes and build a V4, this might not nescesarily be a good thing but if the WSB rules are not changed then it might be the smartest move for the to do as a V4 would produce more power and somehow i cant see Ducati buildng an inline-ever. that said theres something about a Ducati that its got to be a twin and i personally think the 999 and 749 are gorgeous bikes and i would even say thier a lot better looking than the 916 era bikes.

Sorry to diappoint you all, but the first batch will only be sold to Ducati 999 owners, and I have heard that may be limited further to 999R owners.

Oh, and ALICE is an italian ISP.

Cheers

Any 999R owners care to order one for me? Should make an ideal first bike when I reach 21.

[Andy]Want one![/Andy]

According to this article there's a £15k 'cooking' version due in 2008. "The mass-produced V4 that follows in 2008 will come in at an almost-realistic £15,000."
