Does anybody know if putting this type of fuel into my bike will increase performance?,not that it needs it [i have a gsxr 750]but it was just thought i had yesterday while filling up as i heard that a higher octane burns cleaner.

apart from the engine cleaning additives not really.

The only engines that see a benefit from higher RON fuels are those mapped specifically for it, or those with an ECU that can detect detonation and adjust ignition timing accordingly to make use of higher RON fuel. usually performance turbo engines.

i dont think you would notice any performance difference but it burns cleaner and i use it for that reason alone.

There was a report in BIKE a couple of years ago on this and while they say it did improve power slightly you would be hard pushed to notice, the one thing i did notice on my CBR600FY was a slightly better mpg.
