My sidi verts are almost completely knackered now after something like 6 or 7 years of excellent service. I ran them through the winter this year wearing waterproof socks and stretched them a bit sadly so they're looking a bt sorry for themselves and the sole had nearly gone. Good boots though.

Went to shop yesterday and the new sidis look like they've been made by lego and fittings seemed very weak indeed. I tried on some alpinestars which I liked a lot but it occured to me to ask you lot about altbergs as what I really need is a pair of boots that work in all weathers.

Anybody wear altbergs? Which ones did you buy? Are they cool enough in summer while being ok in winter? Did you trek up to the shop or measure your feet yourself and phone in the order? Do you like them?

Ta,

Mark

I've got some, can't remember what they are called mind you. Can't recommend them enough, been worn round the world, never let any water in, worn in temperature below freezing and in excess of 40 degrees and always fine.

Altberg are a great company and if you need special sizes they wil make to measure and all boots can be sent back to them and they will refurbish them, I havent needed too, and if I bother to clean them they just come up as new. Great in my opinion.

But, they don't look racey or trendy in any form - great for me, I hate all that power ranger stuff, but if you do go for that kind of look they will look odd!

Thanks

I called the factory at lunchtime and talked it through with them and placed an order. Just have to wait a couple of months for them to be made now.

Regards,

Mark
