I'm thinking of getting anew can for my gsxr 600 k4 probably the Yosimura RS-3. Am i going to need to get the bike re mapped or will it go straight on the bike.

In my experience if it is just the end can going on then its ok to leave the mapping. If you were going to have a full system, then you will need to change the air filter and have the bike re-mapped.

it depends thoug on the more modern bikes if they have a cat fitted or not, mine does and its in the end can i belive so i need to get it mapped too, not sure on the GSXRS, a) if they even have a cat at all and b) if its in the end can or further down the exaust.
edited to add if its not in the end can or it doesnt have a cat then yo dont need to bother re mapping.
