Just done my cbt for the 2nd time (silly rules )

Got a Hongdu 125 to hack around on and do my test. Going to do the 125 test to save money so don't have to hire a 500/lessons for Direct Access etc. So will be limited to 33bhp for a while... Are there any fun to run bikes Aprilia RS125/ Honda VFR400 that would also cope with going the 70 miles round trip to work and back more than once a week ?

I would suspect any honda 4-stroke would do the job day in day out. Wouldnt want to comment on the 2-stroke probably to unkind to it, (the commute that is) ie it would probably just end up oiling its plug others will no doubt have a different opinion.
A bigger question is could u do it in a sports bike crouch day in day out?

Personally i'm commuting on a 999 cos I need some miles on it b4 going aboard. Thats just an excuse by the way, I'd probably still use it even if I didnt have too cos its too much fun on the country road bit.

I suppose what I am saying is that I don't want to hire another bike/lessons to do direct access. So after doing the 125 test should I get a RS125 or restrict a VFR400
