Somewhere in Peterborough, whilst most people were watching the football, on the 7th lap...

I was so happy!

Until someone on an R1 went a wee bit too quick and...

Ah, that'll be 'the' roundabout in Peterborough although personally I prefer the Moat house one... Hope your mate gets his bike sorted soon.

I didn't know the guy on the R1. Not until after it happened, anyway. His tyres were totally ed before he started doing it and I did consider the possibility his bike would end up like that.

Congrats on the scuffed slider, kind of a rite of passage (you could say the same about falling off)

The R1 rider may apreciate you taking the pics down though, I doubt his insurance claim is going to read "I was going round and round the roundabout, getting faster and faster;-until I fell off!)

At least no one was hurt.

I know how the guy on the R1 feels, binned mine at the weekend, think it is a write off i am lucky to come out of it with a broken shoulder.

Well done Rawwr

What the hell happened to the R1 - I can't work out how the damage has happened. It looks like the RHS crash bung has snapped off. Weird that there's a load of front end damage if no other vehicle was involved....do you know anymore?

Front washed out and the bike hit the kerb, tossing it into the air (really quite impressively high). Left-hand side got ed from scraping along the ground and right-hand side got ed because that's the side it landed on (on the first bounce).

Well done! It’s good to achieve a personal goal.

Unlucky. Having suffered a broken shoulder, I know they’re not pleasant so best wishes for a speedy and full recovery.

Ride safe and enjoy

still not managed to get knee down (SV650s) other than when I fell off, but I guess that doesn't count. Any tips on the best way (NB would like to ride bike home afterwards unlike R1 chap)?

Well done Rawwr! I got mine down for the first time at Silverstone last Monday and it was a great feeling! First time I did it I was so happy about doing it I messed the line up for the next corner! I'm back there again on Sunday and I cannot wait!
