Just got myself a new (well, '04 model, but unregistered) R6, which has obviously come to me on the standard suspension settings.

Being a bit of a lightweight (9 1/2 stone wet through) I am starting to tweak the suspension settings to something that doesn't throw me out of the seat on every piece of gravel I go over.

It seems to be a long and laborious task, and so far I have taken the front and rear preloads down one notch each, which seems to make life a bit more comfortable.

The front end does still seem to be a bit flighty at times, so I am wondering where to head next.

Any suggestions peeps? (It will only be used for 'quick' road runs - I'm not intending to take it anywhere near a track....)

Cheers.

Go down the old fashioned route and tie 2 bags of sand over your seat, they did this to old rear wheel drive cars to help stop the back end sliding out.

I think I have seen you around, aren't you that really good looking chap with a big lunch box that all the girls chase after?

Take care mate - I hope you get a sensible answer!

Who? Me?

Tried the sandbag route. Couldn't find coloured ones to match the bike, and they obscured the TireFlys, so they had to go.....

See you tomorrow, Kel.......

If it's true what After Eight says I'm happy to personally travel up from London and play with your suspension settings myself. I'll ask my PA to prepare my private jet to fly up to Yorkshire tomorrow. I'll bring some special synthetic grease to help glide over the dampers.
