Another what fist bike thread.......

Hi Folks

Just sat my CBT a few months ago and currently riding about on a vespa ( no jokes please!!) and going to be doing the full bike test in the next month or so.

I'm not really looking at the sports bikes, think thats a bit too much for me, but was looking at the cruiser styles, and saw a nice Yamaha Dragstar 650. Any of you guys tried these? I has a sit on it and its realy comfy, just looking for anyone else's experience of them or an alternative. Looking to spend upto about £2.5K ish

when I passed, I bought an old Fazer which I held on to for a bit then changed it for a SV650s and still have it several years later. easy ride, cheap to run and will keep up with most on the twisty bits. Yes top speed is only 125mph, but that's more than enough to lose your brand new licence. A good first bike and then some!
Brand new I paid £3999 (a bargain) worth about £2.5 (53 plate with 6k miles)
