On my way home last night my rear ‘L’ plate fell off, it had been showing sighns of cracking and I was planning on replacing it at the weekend so that didn’t bother me too much. This morning I strapped a floppy one on (previously had rigid as floppy ones get eaten by the tyre as they flop into it) to get me to work and set off. When I got there I checked to see if it was still there and to my surprise not only had the ‘L’ gone but the number plate to which it was attached as well.

My solution is to print out a number plate, stick it to some card and tie-wrap it upright to the luggage rack. I hope it gets me home all right. Its not quite to regulations but at least if I get pulled over they can see I’m trying to sort it and not just taking the piss riding without.
