Is it just me, or is this particular Arai very poor with regard to wind noise etc. I like Arai's, they fit my bonce well, but this model is doing my head in! Which are the best for noise reduction, fit and finish...over to you.

As I said on anaother thread this model does semm to be much noisy than any of the 3 previous Arai bike helmets I have owned, just have to get ear plugs or maybe not ride faster than 43 mph !!!!!

If you want a quiet, well-made lid buy a Schuberth. I've got the C2 because I like the convenience of a flip.

Looks aren't to everyone's taste though.

I find Arai's too noisy due to their unusual visor system. The 'ear-flaps' on Arais create most of the wind noise as I understand it.

Do you wear earplugs on longer journeys? I'd recommend them if you don't.

My Astro R is one of the quietest & most comfortable helmets that I've ever worn.I used to buy Shoei helmets, but the Arai is far better in every way.I can't fault mine at all.

Arai's are great but they are very noisy, I have an Arai RX7RR and I have to wear earplugs as the wind noise at anything above 50-60 mph hurts my ears, on the plus side the ventilation is good but that may be part of the reason that they're so noisy.

Arais have pockets where your ear goes. This means you can use ear plugs & speakers easily (ear rings as well?) but of course looses out on sound insulation.
