Excellent - from what I can tell, you either love them or hate them! I love them - always feels really lame being back out on the public road after a track day... Interesting to read last months Ride mag - they were quite negative with their opinions of track days but then they are a load of beardy, practical types

...and I got black flagged.
It was an evening trackday but I did manage to do three of the four sessions before registering 99db on 98db day.
And
- what fun! Never really got into the car trackday thing but on a bike its just amazing! Especially going down Craners and the beautifully fluid flick from right to left. Fun!
Obviously I was shitting myself for the first couple of laps, especially going into Coppice, but even Coppice pales into insignificance next to the fear I had every single
ing time at Goddards and that little twitch of the rear-end (the bike's, not mine) through Redgate. I can't wait to go again
Hitting the bump under the Dunlop bridge at 130mph never ceased to amuse and wondering whether or not I'd make it through the Esses alive was also entertaining.
Being passed by the instructors when I was hard under braking when they still appeared to be accelerating toward Melbourne left me scratching my head a few times (and probably the person who stuffed it into the gravel, too).
In summary: Top giggles. My tyres are mush. My brakes are knackered. I want to do another one. Now.
