A Big Thankyou

To the cretinous cnut on a Honda VFR or 400RR that overtook me on the A525 between Wrexham and Whitchurch at approximately 6.30 this evening.
Not only did the pathetic display of your bikes lack of overtaking ability not impress me ( I was minding my own business cruising along at 65mph) your pulling back in front of me by cranking your bike over and trying to impress by doing so as close to the front of my car as you thought humanely possible
threw up a veritable hail of stones and rubber.
The front of my car is now covered in f***ing massive stone chips you f**king ar**hole.
I hope when you do eventually go over the bars (which judging by the way you ride, shouldn't be too long) you don't so much bruise your testicles as get them totally ripped off. Dickhead.
Edited to read. Most likely not much point in writing the above as the perpetrator of the "crime" most likely can't read anyway !

Sorry to hear this, I'm sure I would be just as upset if the same thing happened to my 993RS.
But.... what on earth makes you think the maniac would be on here?

I didn't think really think he'd be on here, I just needed to vent my considerable frustration !
Had I been pressing on and up for a bit of "making progress" the trashing of the front of the car would not have worried me nearly so much.
I've followed and overtaken, (and been overtaken ) by bikes at much higher speeds previously, and happily accept the "battlescars" that result, as being "part of the game"
It was more the fact that it was such a needless and futile overtaking manouvre (that caused so much damage) that annoyed me.
I saw this cretinous individual in my mirrors a good minute before he passed me (and he must have seen me a similar amount of time before catching me) I made no attempt to speed up and "race" him in the intervening time, yet he still overtook me with his bikes engine screaming its tits off, chin on the tank etc etc !
No doubt he'll be down the pub tonight telling all his mates "I blew the doors off a Porsche this afternoon"

Tar and Brush springs to mind on this, Not all bikers are the same you know!!!
it sounds to me like your Pissed off because a bike overtook your car and your pride has been dented slightly
i can see why your annoyed about the stone chips but surely thats part and parcel of owning a supercar.

I made no attempt to speed up or "race" this cretin.
I saw his headlamp flickering in the distance at least a minute before he caught up with me. Seemingly he saw my car as a challenge that he could not resist (as do most bikers), even though I was happily minding my own business at 65mph.
Had I decided to "play", I think in the minute it took the individual to catch me up, a 360hp 190mph car could have been coaxed up to a more appropriate speed to "play" (along a section of road I traverse frequently and thus know fairly well)
Thus your comment I'm a bit "Pisssed off" 'cos I was overtaken tends to loses come credence
Perhaps if you read what I've written previously, somewhat more carefully, you may rethink your comments/ accusations about dented pride. I have no issue with being overtaken by anyone (car or bike) what irked me was the manner in which this individual chose to do so. Seemingly you think his modus operandi acceptable, On that basis, I hope we don't meet on the road anytime soon.
Next time a myopic car driver pulls out right infront of me, maybe I should post in General Gassing and have a pop at car drivers?
See what I did there?
You get dickheads driving everything from scooters to HGVs... And I'd admit to mistakes of judgement myself where things have gotten a little err close
Hope the chips aren't too bad and that you can sort them with a bit of elbow grease

Nowt wrong with a Fiesta diesel Moment, I've spent many a happy an hour behind the wheel of aDiesel Corsa van !
Stone chips rectified last night ! (they were obvious cos I'd just washed the car) hence when I looked at the front of the car when I got back after being overtaken by our two wheeled friend, I could see a host of fresh battle scars with paint splinters (and rubber ?) still attached. hence the

so on that note i shall bid you a "goodbye"..........

Slippy, How long have you been driving? Is this the first time a bike has done something to you like this? Im guessing by your car that you are not 17 so lets guess you have been driving for what 15 years?
Well lets put this in perspective shall we. Every time! Every single time I go on my bike some car driver will ..
pull out/switch lanes/ look in the mirror and drift into my path/look in the mirror and dilliberatly move into my oath etc etc ect
These acts could cause my death! a little more serious than a few stone chips what?
ps when Im in the car and taking it easy some maxed up mupped or some bloke with issues will overtake and cut me up ususaly overtaking on shevrons showering my car with stones.
(its one of the reasons I drive fast everywhere
)
Are you another one of those predudiced muppets who attcaks bikers at every turn yet blind to the far greater bad driving perpetuated by car drivers.
quote from a woman I didnt know when she learned I had a mottorbike" oh your one of those people that spoils my day out at the coast by screaming passed me! well I hope you die"
Slippy get real if we all ranted like that over something that happens to us we would fill GG every day.

Hmmmm, Pesty I'm 43 and a petrolhead (and hopefully not a "prejudiced muppet" as you politely put it !) three of my mates ride large bikes (one was knocked of his Blackbird less than three months ago by .... you guessed it, a car) on that basis I'll let you work out how long I've been driving
I live 1/2 hour from some of the best driving roads in the UK.
Thus I frequently end up "playing" with bikes who frequent the same quiet roads that I find so appealing. To see a bike ridden properly and with commitment on the road is a stunning sight. When I do see it, I have the utmost respect for the riders doing it.
My car has 285 section tyres on the back, to see a bike with its tyre contact patch the size of what, half a credit card ? being ridden at well over 120mph whilst I attempt to follow with 20" of rubber on the rear of my car alone, is a sight I find quite phenomenal.
I tend to follow from a safe distance as I'm aware bikes use parts of the road the average 4 wheeled vehicle doesn't and that their very sticky tyres tend to kick up a lot more stones.
I find the vast majority of serious riders to be courteous and well aware of the implications of acting like a tw*t when riding at high speed with cars in close proximity. This t*sser yesterday showed neither, hence my rant.
Not really a case of "getting real", more a case of me asking someone to exercise a bit of common sense surely ?
I'm sure if I parked next to this individuals bike and happened to knock it over (and damage the paintwork in the process) whilst reversing, due to a lack of care on my part, he'd soon be ranting and bitching about "careless idiot car drivers"
To have to watch some plonker trying to impress me on his 10 year old ? grey import, whilst trashing the front of my car, due to a fact that he hadn't the brains to stay on the other side of the road a little longer (the road was straight and there was no traffic approaching) didn't earn any respect and certainly did little to impress me !
I'm not suggesting this muppet shotblasting the front of my car comes close to to what your average bike rider has to tolerate on a daily basis, merely it was totally uneccessary and irratating.
As for Frostyrs comment about looking for a war of words, it seemed to me you waded in with some less than carefully chosen opinions, which I had previously explained weren't contributing factors. Hardly a war of words ! Hopefully the comment that "I hope we don't meet anytime soon" was not taken as a threat (it wasn't intended as such), but more as a indicator you seemed to be defending the actions of this muppet, in which case I didn't want to find myself sharing the same piece of road as you when you're "on a mission "
Anyway, I've had my rant, perhaps I should have started the thread in The Pie and Piston or General Gassing ?
For what it's worth, i think your rant sounds justified. It's the internet, rant about what you want.
I remember having an RS950 fiesta (that's what the badge said) when I was 17 and wheelspinning madly away from the lights to beat a porsche, and then telling all my mates how fast my car was.........

Do bikes really kick up more stones than cars? This has never really occured to me. If so I'm sorry to anyone who has been on the receiving end of my rear Bridgestone. BTW it wasn't me!
I guess the issue is that if you are riding in the command position then you are going to be right in line with the centre of the car!! That said I've had my windscreen cracked by stones from cars, my helmet bashed by stones from cars and my bodywork hit by stones from bikes!!! It's a jungle out there no matter if you are in car or on bike!

dont forget the type of muppet in thier mk4 golf gti that thinks because its a gti its obviously the fastest thing on the road and sits right out in the road so its very awkward to get past if theres traffic coming the other way.

Slippydiff, stop bullshitting.
Covered the front of your car with stonechips? Do behave! If he could swerve with enough force to lift large stones (presumably spinning up the rear) to fire these into your car, you should have flagged him down an got Jeremy Burgess to sign him to ride alongside Valetino...
