After 20 odd years away from bikes I am thinking of getting a bike again - I used to just ride a 100cc on my car license! Taking my CBT and then getting my license hopefully in the next month or so.

I am getting the bike just for fun, not long touring, and so a trail (enduro) type is what I am after and I want a 4-stroke.

So.... what would people recommend? Don't think I want want anything bigger than 250cc but open to all suggestions.

Thanks, Gary

My vote would be a Yamaha WR250F Lovely bikes for Trail and on-road with supermoto tyres and Excel rims the best of both worlds.......

If you are doing mostly road riding, have a look at a 400. I find 250's a bit revvy above 60mph.

Suzuki DRz400 are a good buy.

Thanks for that. Actually I went to a Yamaha dealer yesterday who told me the WR's needed servicing every 15 hours which is a complete non starter considering I will be doing mostly (possibly all) road riding.

I'll check out the Suzi. KTMs look nice too!

Others suggestions please!
