A hole appeared in my down pipes last night, must have been that as the bike didn't loose power it just got noisey. It must also be fairly high up the pipes as it really only seemed to be sounding 1 cylinder as opposed to all of them latter on down the system.

I'm going to try 'gun gum' etc to bung it up temporarily, but is there a way of repairing it as such (welding), or do I just bite the bullit of buying a replacement set of headers

Whether or not you can weld it will be down to the location and the material the pipes are made from. I can't imagine gun gum would last long on the headers. I replaced mine on my old zxr with micron stainless headers and a road legal can.

Cheers chaps

I saw that set on ebay, but I should have said it's the bolt on pipes I need to replace for my cans.
