Suzuki Intruder M800
Discussion
Hi, thanks for your reply. Do you want one or not? Your response surprises me.
Anyhow, yes, I do have a blue one. Had a Bandit before, hated it "Buzz box" revving like hell all the time and forever changing gear, could not relax riding it at all. Make your own decision on things only you will use, the Bandit was other people saying to me after passing my test how good they are. Maybe for some but not for me mate. Do step away from the crowd.
Now, this one is an 800 cc fuel injected water cooled and shaft driven lovely ride. No back, wrist or ear ache riding this and the engine revs really low with a sound to suit better on petrol too. This is about enjoying the quality of ride and taking in the views, arrive in style, not 30 seconds before anyone else.
You know, my friend has ridden cruisers always and when we went out, everyone notices the cruisers but the Bandit was just another sports bike........
The M800 is a cruiser for our weather, no spokes, clean shaft drive, powder coating so not too much chrome to be a slave to unless you like one hours riding and three hours cleaning. Check out the low insurance too.
Hope you enjoy your cruiser, I really do.

I was joking old bean
It's funny that after such a long time of everyone being supersports focussed, people are coming around to stuff like supermotos and cruisers. Yes, I would love to add a cruiser to the garage

Some pictures of a gorgeous bike
Very nice. Are you a Suzuki fan particularly, or did you find the Intruder suited your needs better than the other stuff out there whether it was Jap or American? PS sorry to hijack your flyscreen question

Hi Guy's,
thanks for your replies. Well, I learned on a 125cc intruder, but cruisers have always caught my eye and that's what got me in to motorcycles.
This one looks more a cross between a sports bike and a cruiser but it gives me the comfort. I like it like I liked my TVR Chimaera really,
looks like something from the past but been brought well in to the future if you see..... I am not really a hardened Suzuki fan, but this really does it for me out of all the range of bikes available. The suspension is the same working as on a soprts bike so there is no coil overs on the outside to keep polishing and it looks neater. Really chaps, it's what you like or not as the case may be but for what they cost it's really no hardship to have one in the garage for the right kind of day's. This is a very easy motorcycle to keep looking great, so more time riding.......

Hi, has anyone else got one of these? have you fitted a fly screen to it? If so, which one?
My old man had one of these. It was an older one, only recently sold it. I think it was on a K-reg but he fitted a fly screen and said the difference was amazing, one of the best mods he did to it. He is on holiday at the moment but if he calls i will ask him.
Cheers
D
Yes, too much chrome can be overpowering but you like what you like and all.
Damien, Thanks for trying to find out about the screen, I am making in roads I think a National Cycle screen would do very niceley like this one..
Not too tall or total cruiserish.
