gooby takes a dislike to a biker!!
Discussion
I read this earlier. I own an Elise and a Bike and spend a good deal of time between the two forums.
I feel quite saddened to hear what happened, very sad indeed; if it was me in his shoes I would be pig sick and certainly willing to inflict a lot of pain on the individual involved.
Sadly, it is another instance where the one of the biking fraternity has let the majority down. We are tarred with the same brush from the outset. This could be due to the perception of bikers by the general public laid down from the mods and rockers of years passed.
The pratt in the accident has just re-inforced that perception, maybe in the eyes of many car drivers on here. I just hope that they can isolate their thoughts to that individual and not look at all us bikers through the same lens, so to speak. I have had great conversations with many car drivers on here and a mutual respect has always been shown. Many people on PH use both methods of transport and hopefully this incident won't do anything to harm this relationship.
I read some of the comments on the thread and have decided not to post any replies, all I can say is that the guy involved gets everything he deserves and that all individuals reading about it do not use it to slur or tarnish the rest of us.
Good luck for the repair mate!!

So biker boy causes repairable damage to a car and for that he should be beaten up or worse, it's annoying and frustrating but it's lucky for the car guy plod were there to stop him doing something equally stupid, in the eyes of the courts assault is far worse than an rta, a little perspective here would help.

I think it's the fact he caused the damage by being a complete t
t, ie trying to impress girls by doing a wheelie on a public road, that's the issue. We all know that "accidents" happen but this was just plain stupidity and that is very very hard to accept!! Don't misunderstand me here I'm not excusing what's happened, I don't know the circumstances, but years ago I was driving my pride and joy, an absolutely mint stag when an idiot pulled out from my offside and t-boned me, I was livid and it's only the fact that my door was jammed shut that stopped me doing something stupid to this guy, but a minute later when I had calmed down I realised it would have been a big mistake.
